Chancellor of the Exchequer


The UK’s chief finance minister. The Chancellor is a member of the cabinet, and is in charge of HM Treasury, the UK ministry of finance. The Chancellor is responsible for overall supervision of monetary and fiscal policy, is the government’s principal economic spokesperson, and presents the budget to Parliament.
