Consumer Expenditure Survey


A survey providing information on expenditures and incomes of US consumers, along with their individual and household characteristics. It consists of two components: the Quarterly Interview Survey and the Diary Survey. The survey has been collected for the Bureau o of Labour Statistics of the United States by the US Census Bureau continuously since 1980 and with ten-year intervals prior to that.
