Consumer expenditure


Spending on private consumption. This can be divided into spending on non-durable goods such as food, drink, or tobacco; spending on consumer durables, such as cars and furniture; spending on services, such as travel and entertainment; and spending on housing, either rent or as the imputed rent enjoyed by owner-occupiers.
