Crossing, general

Two parallel transverse lines placed across the cheque with or without the words 'not negotiable' or 'a/c Payee only' or '& Co.'. This makes it necessary for the holder to pay the cheque into an account at a bank rather than being able to obtain cash for it across the bank counter.
