Money market
 

 

This consists of institutions. such as discount houses, banks and even the government itself, which deal in very short-term loans. The principal commodities dealt with in the money market are bills of exchange in the shape treasury bills which are offered for tender each week. Other organizations are accepting houses, finance houses, merchant banks and the Bank of England.
